Firefighter Troiano was born and raised in Wildwood and graduated from Wildwood High School in 1995. Firefighter Troiano then attended Towson University in Maryland and graduated in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in sports Management. During college, he played football for the Towson University and after graduating, coached for the Wildwood High School football team.
Firefighter Troiano joined the Wildwood Fire Department by joining Holly Beach Fire Co. #1 in February 1996, following the footsteps of his grandfather, Ernie Sr. (Former Fire Chief), father Ernie Jr. (Currently Battalion Chief and Mayor of the City of Wildwood) and Uncles. Also serving with Firefighter Troiano his Brother Ryan and Cousins.
Firefighter Troiano became a part-time firefighter in the summer of 2002, then appointed provisional in August, 2002. Firefighter Troiano was appointed permanent firefighter in the career division on March 26, 2004. Firefighter Troiano continues to work for the family business E. Troiano & Son’s Masonry.
Firefighter Troiano lives within the City of Wildwood with his wife Kim and their triplets, Ernie IV, Ava and Dominick
