Firefighter Greg Neill was born in Sea Isle City and raised in Wildwood.  He is a 1981 graduate of Wildwood High School (www.whsclassof81.com). Firefighter Neill comes from a long family history of firefighters from his grandfather to his father, brother, uncles and nephew whom all belonged to the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Company.  He became a volunteer member of the Wildwood Fire Department in 1981 and is currently a volunteer member in that department with Lifetime status.

He became a member of the Wildwood Fire Department on August 2, 1996, upon the retirement of his father, William Neill. Firefighter Neill was first placed on the B platoon with Captain James Godfrey.  He has worked on several platoons during his career and is currently second in command on D platoon under Captain D’Amico.

Firefighter Neill in addition to his career as a fire fighter for the City of Wildwood is also the Fire Sub-code Official for the Townships of Middle and the Township of Lower.  He holds several certificates from the State of New Jersey certifying him in areas of Fire Official, Fire Sub-Code Official, Firefighter I & II Instructor, Live Burn Instructor, SCBA/Smokehouse Instructor, IMS Level I,II HAZ MAT I & II, HAZ MAT Technician, Level I First Responder Awareness and Hurst “Jaws Of Life”.
