Firefighter Mike Neill was born in Sea Isle City and raised in Wildwood. He is a 1977 graduate of Wildwood High School. Firefighter Neill comes from a long family history of firefighters, from his grandfather to his father, brother, uncles and son, who all belonged to the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Company. He became a volunteer member of the Wildwood Fire Department in 1977 and is currently a volunteer member in that department with Lifetime status.
He became a member of the Wildwood Fire Department in 1981, Firefighter Neill was first placed on the C platoon . He has worked on several platoons during his career and is currently Captain of C Platoon.
Firefighter Neill, in addition to his career as a fire fighter for the City of Wildwood, also holds several certificates from the State of New Jersey certifying him in areas of Fire Official, Firefighter I & II, Instructor, IMS Level I & II, HAZ MAT I & II, Level I. And Firefighter Neill is a member of the FMBA Local 50, Life Member of the Cape May County Firemen’s Association, and a Life Member in the New Jersey State Relief Association.
